007 - past, present and future

Over the years, more than half a dozen acclaimed actors have been introducing themselves as "Bond - James Bond".
You will notice that I don't really care if the appeareances were part of the "official " franchise or not.

The Genesis of Bond, James Bond

After WW2 Ian Fleming, agent of the British Naval Intelligence, retired to Jamaica. Living in a house called "Goldeneye", he startet writing a novel called "Casino Royale". In the process, he created a character whom we all know today as British Secret Service agent James Bond.
Fleming kept writing and travelling from this point on. He also wrote the novel the motion picture film "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" was based on, the only non-Bond Film Albert R. Broccoli ever produced after "Dr. No". At the age of 56, Fleming died in England August 1964.

He plays Bond with genuine depth

I just viewed "Quantum" and am frankly amazed at any negative critique. Craig is Bond in this! I am so relieved to finally be interested in the man, and not just a pretty package. WOW! I was devastated to rent Casino Royal and not catch it in the movies bceause I was hooked from the first moment - when I couldnt breath watching the chase scene with the free-runner. OMG.
